We dream of changing the world through chocolate.
Where quitting dairy doesn't mean quitting taste.
Where every happy bite supports cacao farmers, animals and the planet.
Where chocolate and treats are silky smooth, creamy and OMG delicious.
That world is available now.
Finally, vegan treats your loved ones will love too!
Thanks for joining the mission to banish base taste.
Treat Dreams customers know great taste and ethics go hand in hand.

100% vegan owned and run business
We use products free from animals and animal derived ingredients. This means we don't don't use dairy, eggs, gelatin, carmine, cochineal or other sneaky animal derived products.
Tested with non-vegans first
We spend a lot of time perfecting our recipes to replicate the taste and mouth feel of 'traditional' recipes without the animals. It's why we test our recipes on non-vegans first. If they can't tell the difference, it goes on our menu!
From the very beginning, Treat Dreams chocolate has always been produced using fair trade chocolate.
In 2019 we stepped up the #EthicalChocolate game by adding direct trade chocolate to the mix. What started as a limited edition release became a regular item with our range of white and milk chocolate bars.
Many dairy eating fans are reporting these taste even better than the dairy filled counterparts, and we agree!
Because great taste and great ethics for hand in hand.
We believe cacao farmers deserve a fair prices for their labour and fair working conditions. It's why we use both direct and fair trade chocolate to create your treats.
Fair trade chocolate means farmers are paid a Fairtrade Premium. This is an extra amount on top of selling price that producers earn on every sale. Fairtrade producers earned more than €187 million in Premium (or extra) in 2018.
Ethical chocolate and fair trade systems mean farming communities have access to necessities such as water pumps, sanitation and schooling.
Local farmers invest the Fairtrade Premium in projects of their choice to benefit their businesses and communities.
For example, as part of the COVID-19 response, Fairtrade premiums have been invested into face masks and other hygiene and sanitation measures.
Farmers also invest in more sustainable farming practices and re-forestation efforts, securing our favourite crop for generations to come.
It's a sad truth that many non fair trade chocolate farms have regularly been found to use poor practices such as child labour.
Fair trade accreditation means farms are audited for compliance, to make sure farms are free of child labour.
When you enjoy Treat Dreams chocolate, you're part of the movement to remove modern slavery from chocolate farming.
After much research, trials and tests, we've switched 90% of our shipments from styrofoam boxes to cardboard boxes!
This has been achieved through investigating insulation methods and closely monitoring weather on departure, transit and destination routes. Our retail partners have been our co-conspirators in supporting this research and we thank them for their support in helping us reduce our impact.
The remaining 10% of orders using styrofoam are limited to long haul or hot climate deliveries such as Queensland and WA.
We also deliver the majority of our Sydney wholesale stock in sturdy reusable tubs, which we swap back and forth with their orders. It's one of the ways we seek to have a closed loop system.
Keeping our planet and environment healthy.
Most people don't consider the environmental impact of their online shopping deliveries – just clickety-click and, like magic, it's on your doorstep. But the logistics involved generate a huge amount of CO2 - over 10% of global CO2e emissions are from transport and logistics.
Being carbon neutral means that your net release of CO2e into the atmosphere is zero.
Basically, whatever CO2e you emit is cancelled out by a process known as 'offsetting' – that is, supporting projects that reduce emissions, like regenerating precious forest or replacing old equipment with more efficient technology.
This offset partnership supports genuinely world-changing initiatives aimed at preserving and regenerating natural ecosystems, whether it’s restoring endangered rainforest habitats or providing clean water access for communities in Africa. When you choose our standard shipping, you help ensure that our deliveries have a net carbon footprint of zero. Actually zero!
We've been working with our suppliers and stockists to transition to better-for-the-planet packaging.
In addition to our packaging being 100% recyclable, treats produced in our classes are packaging in home compostable, sustainably sourced, plant based fibre cellulose bags.
Please consider using the RedCycle bins to recycle the foil backed wrappers used for our chocolate bars and bears.
With every print run we research the latest technologies available to reduce our footprint further, and have transitioned several of our products to card boxes. Watch this space as we continue to improve our eco contribution.
Treat Dreams is female LGBTIQA+ owned and led, and members of our team are part of the LGBTIQA+ community.
Before starting Treat Dreams, founder Lis worked with Australian Marriage Equality, seeking to advance the rights of all LGBTIQA+ Australians to publicly and legally recognise their love through marriage.
It was a tough time for us all in the lead up to the YES vote and the strength and friendship from everyone in our community saw us through. We firmly believe a survey wasn't the path Australia needed to take to get here, and recognise those lost along the way.
Treat Dreams are proud to have been part of weddings that have seen LGTBIAQ+ couples become spouses. Nothing makes us happier than helping celebrate love!
Treat Dreams create bespoke chocolate wedding favours / bonbonerie with colours and flavours that are all your own. Talk to us about our custom wedding chocolate packages, where it's all about making your day exactly the way you want it.
